By Saurav Mehra Bigg Boss OTT was the digital spin-off of the Hindi reality show Bigg Boss. The programme followed the familiar format of contestants living together inside a specially designed house under continuous camera surveillance, but it was created mainly for streaming audiences and offered extensive live coverage alongside edited daily episodes.
The first season premiered on 8 August 2021 on Voot with Karan Johar as host. The second season arrived in 2023 with Salman Khan, while Anil Kapoor hosted Season 3 in 2024. Three standalone Hindi seasons were completed. In January 2026, the makers confirmed that the separate Bigg Boss OTT edition had been discontinued as the main Hindi Bigg Boss moved toward a digital-first release model.
Bigg Boss OTT Winners List of All Seasons
| Season | Year | Winner | Runner-Up | Host |
| Season 1 | 2021 | Divya Agarwal | Nishant Bhat | Karan Johar |
| Season 2 | 2023 | Elvish Yadav | Abhishek Malhan | Salman Khan |
| Season 3 | 2024 | Sana Makbul | Naezy | Anil Kapoor |
Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 Winner – Divya Agarwal
The first season of Bigg Boss OTT premiered on 8 August 2021 on Voot. Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted the digital edition, which introduced viewers to a faster and more streaming-focused version of the Bigg Boss format.
Season 1 featured 13 housemates and lasted for 42 days. One of its main ideas was the “connections” format, under which most contestants entered the house paired with another participant. Divya Agarwal entered without a connection and had to navigate the competition differently from the other housemates.
Divya Agarwal emerged as the first Bigg Boss OTT winner. Choreographer Nishant Bhat finished as the runner-up, while Shamita Shetty finished behind the top two. The grand finale was held on 18 September 2021.
Divya received the winner’s trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. Her victory made her the first champion of the standalone OTT version of Bigg Boss.
Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 Winner – Elvish Yadav
Bigg Boss OTT returned for its second season on 17 June 2023, this time on JioCinema. Salman Khan took over hosting duties and brought the weekend-host format closely associated with the television edition to the OTT series.
The season featured 15 housemates across its run and became particularly notable after YouTuber Elvish Yadav entered as a wildcard contestant. He joined the competition after the season had already begun but quickly became one of its most prominent participants.
Elvish Yadav won Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, while Abhishek Malhan finished as the runner-up. Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve and Pooja Bhatt were the other finalists. The grand finale took place on 14 August 2023.
Elvish received the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. His victory was especially significant because he became the first wildcard entrant to win a Bigg Boss title, making Season 2 one of the most discussed editions of the OTT series.
Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 Winner – Sana Makbul
The third season premiered on 21 June 2024 on JioCinema Premium. Actor Anil Kapoor became the new host, replacing Salman Khan for the OTT edition. The season ran for 42 days and featured 17 housemates.
Season 3 introduced several changes and twists. Housemates were given smartphones for selected in-house communication, while the “Baaharwala” concept allowed one participant at a time to receive certain information and powers connected with events outside the normal game structure.
Television actress Sana Makbul emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. Rapper Naezy finished as the runner-up, followed by Ranvir Shorey, Sai Ketan Rao and Kritika Malik among the final contestants.
The grand finale was held on 2 August 2024. Sana Makbul lifted the trophy and received Rs 25 lakh as prize money. Her win made her the third winner of Bigg Boss OTT and the latest champion of the standalone digital edition.
Bigg Boss OTT Hosts Over the Years
Bigg Boss OTT changed its host in every completed season, giving each edition a noticeably different presentation style.
- Karan Johar – Season 1 (2021)
- Salman Khan – Season 2 (2023)
- Anil Kapoor – Season 3 (2024)
Karan Johar launched the OTT version and presented its first season. Salman Khan, already strongly associated with the main Hindi Bigg Boss programme, hosted Season 2. Anil Kapoor then took over for Season 3 and presented the 2024 edition through its finale.
Bigg Boss OTT House and Format
The basic structure of Bigg Boss OTT was similar to the television version. Contestants, known as housemates, lived inside the Bigg Boss house with restricted contact with the outside world. Cameras and microphones recorded their activities throughout the day, and viewers could follow much more of the house through live streaming.
Housemates participated in tasks that could affect captaincy, immunity, nominations, ration and other advantages. Contestants nominated one another for eviction, while public voting played an important role in deciding who remained in the competition. Wildcard entrants could also join after the season had begun.
Each season introduced its own twists. Season 1 focused heavily on contestant connections, Season 2 became famous for a wildcard winner, and Season 3 experimented with smartphones and the Baaharwala role. Despite these changes, the central goal remained the same: survive the competition, reach the finale and secure enough audience support to win the trophy.
What Happened to Bigg Boss OTT Season 4?
A fourth standalone season did not follow the 2024 edition. Although there was speculation in 2025 about another OTT season, the makers later confirmed in January 2026 that the separate Bigg Boss OTT format had been discontinued.
The change came as the main Hindi Bigg Boss moved toward a digital-first model, where the regular season reaches streaming audiences first while also continuing on television. Because of this shift, there is no official Bigg Boss OTT Season 4 winner or runner-up to add to the winners list as of 2026.
Final Words
Bigg Boss OTT produced three winners during its standalone run. Divya Agarwal became the inaugural champion in 2021, Elvish Yadav won the second season in 2023 after entering as a wildcard, and Sana Makbul lifted the Season 3 trophy in 2024.
The three seasons also had three different hosts – Karan Johar, Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor. With the standalone OTT edition discontinued, Sana Makbul remains the latest Bigg Boss OTT winner, while the wider Bigg Boss franchise continues through its regular Hindi and regional versions.
