MTV Roadies Winners List of All Seasons: Winner, Runner-Up, Host and Year

MTV Roadies is one of India’s longest-running adventure reality television shows. The programme combines travel, physical and mental challenges, strategy, vote-outs and changing team formats. Contestants selected through auditions are taken on a journey where they compete in difficult tasks and try to survive eliminations until the finale.

The show premiered on 15 August 2003 on MTV India. Over the years, Roadies has moved through several formats, including individual competition, mentor-based teams, gang leaders and buddy pairs. Twenty seasons have been completed, while Season 21, titled Roadies REBIRTH, has been announced for the next edition with Rannvijay Singha returning as host.

List of MTV Roadies Winners

MTV Roadies Season 1 – No Official Winner

The first season premiered on 15 August 2003 and followed a different format from the competitive editions that came later. Cyrus Sahukar presented the season. No single official winner was declared; the Roadies who completed the journey received motorcycles, and Rannvijay Singha was among the contestants who finished the journey.

MTV Roadies Season 2 Winner – Ayushmann Khurrana

Season 2, titled Roadies Returns, aired in 2004–05 with Rannvijay Singha as presenter. Ayushmann Khurrana emerged as the winner, while Candy Brar finished as runner-up. Khurrana later became one of the most successful former Roadies in Indian entertainment.

MTV Roadies Season 3 Winner – Parul Shahi

Season 3 was aired during 2005–06 and increased the competitive nature of the programme. Parul Shahi won the season and Rahul Sharma finished as runner-up. Her victory made her the first woman to win a competitive season of MTV Roadies.

MTV Roadies Season 4 Winner – Anthony Yeh

Season 4, Road to Fear, aired in 2006–07. Anthony Yeh emerged as the winner, while Gurbani Judge, better known as Bani J, finished as runner-up. Rannvijay Singha presented the season, with the journey built around demanding tasks and regular vote-outs.

MTV Roadies Season 5 Winner – Ashutosh Kaushik

Roadies 5.0 aired in 2007–08 and expanded the journey beyond India to Thailand and Malaysia. Ashutosh Kaushik won the title, while Nihal Nikam was the runner-up. The season also strengthened the use of advantages and twists around vote-outs.

MTV Roadies Season 6 Winner – Nauman Sait

Season 6 was titled Hell Down Under and included a major part of the journey in Australia. Nauman Sait won the season after returning to the competition, while Lonkiri Timung finished second. Rannvijay Singha continued as presenter.

MTV Roadies Season 7 Winner – Anwar Syed

Season 7, known as 7 Deadly Sins & 1 Wild Safari, took the contestants through India, Kenya and Egypt. Anwar Syed became the winner and Zaid Bin Nazir finished as runner-up. Rannvijay Singha and Bani J were associated with presenting the season.

MTV Roadies Season 8 Winner – Aanchal Khurana

Roadies 8: Shortcut to Hell aired in 2011 and included a journey in India and Brazil. Aanchal Khurana won the season, while Mohit Saggar finished as runner-up. The edition continued the show’s combination of travel, endurance tasks, alliances and eliminations.

MTV Roadies Season 9 Winner – Vikas Khoker

Season 9, Everything or Nothing, aired in 2012 and included destinations in India and the United States. Vikas Khoker emerged as the winner and Himani Sharma finished second. Rannvijay Singha remained the presenter.

MTV Roadies Season 10 Winner – Palak Johal

Roadies X: Battle for Glory aired in 2013 and used a mentor-based competition between teams linked with Raghu Ram and Rannvijay Singha. Palak Johal, who had appeared in an earlier season, won the title. Ramandeep Kaur Dhillon was the runner-up, while Bani J presented the season.

MTV Roadies Season 11 Winner – Nikhil Sachdeva

Roadies X1: Ride for Respect aired in 2014. Nikhil Sachdeva won the season and Utkarsh Khanna finished as runner-up. Bani J was listed as presenter, while Rannvijay Singha and Raghu Ram were closely involved in the selection and competition.

MTV Roadies Season 12 Winner – Prince Narula

Roadies X2: Your Road, Your Gang aired in 2015 and introduced the gang-leader format that later became a major part of the franchise. Prince Narula, competing in Rannvijay Singha’s gang, won the season. Gurmeet Singh Rehal finished as runner-up.

MTV Roadies Season 13 Winner – Balraj Singh Khehra

Roadies X4: Your Gang, Your Glory aired in 2016. Balraj Singh Khehra from Karan Kundrra’s gang won the title, while Navdeesh Arora from Prince Narula’s gang finished second. Gaelyn Mendonca presented the season.

MTV Roadies Season 14 Winner – Shweta Mehta

Roadies Rising aired in 2017 with multiple gang leaders. Shweta Mehta from Neha Dhupia’s gang won the season, while Baseer Ali from Prince Narula’s gang was runner-up. The edition was presented by Gaelyn Mendonca.

MTV Roadies Season 15 Winner – Kashish Thakur

Roadies Xtreme aired in 2018 with Rannvijay Singha serving as mentor and host. Kashish Thakur from Neha Dhupia’s gang emerged as winner, while Preeti Kuntal from Prince Narula’s gang finished as runner-up.

MTV Roadies Season 16 Winner – Arun Sharma

Roadies: Real Heroes aired in 2019. Arun Sharma from Raftaar’s gang won the season and Ankita Pathak from Prince Narula’s gang finished as runner-up. Rannvijay Singha continued as the show’s host and mentor.

MTV Roadies Season 17 Winner – Hamid Barkzi

Roadies: Revolution began in February 2020 and concluded in January 2021 after its schedule was affected by the COVID-19 period. Hamid Barkzi won the title, while Michael Ajay finished as runner-up. Rannvijay Singha hosted the season.

MTV Roadies Season 18 Winners – Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G

Roadies: Journey in South Africa aired in 2022 with Sonu Sood as host and used a buddy-pair format. Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G became the first joint winners of the franchise. Jashwanth Bopanna and Yukti Arora finished as the joint runners-up.

MTV Roadies Season 19 Winner – Vashu Jain

Roadies: Karm Ya Kaand aired in 2023 with Sonu Sood returning as host. Vashu Jain, associated with Rhea Chakraborty’s gang, won the title. Siwet Tomar from Prince Narula’s gang finished as runner-up.

MTV Roadies Season 20 Winner – Kushal “Gullu” Tanwar

Roadies XX: Double Cross premiered on 11 January 2025 and concluded on 1 June 2025. Rannvijay Singha returned as host. Kushal “Gullu” Tanwar, representing Gang Elvish at the finale, won the season, while Hartaaj Singh Gill from Gang Prince finished as runner-up.

MTV Roadies Season 21 – Roadies REBIRTH

Season 21 has been announced under the title Roadies REBIRTH. Rannvijay Singha is returning as host, and auditions are scheduled to begin in September 2026 in major Indian cities. Since the season has not yet been completed, its winner and runner-up are still to be announced.

MTV Roadies Hosts and Gang Leaders Over the Years

The presenting role has changed several times during the long history of MTV Roadies. Cyrus Sahukar presented the first season, while Rannvijay Singha became the face most closely associated with the franchise and hosted many editions. Bani J and Gaelyn Mendonca also presented multiple seasons, while Sonu Sood hosted Seasons 18 and 19 before Rannvijay returned for Season 20 and the announced Season 21.

The gang-leader era brought several well-known personalities into the competition, including Prince Narula, Neha Dhupia, Nikhil Chinapa, Raftaar, Karan Kundrra, Rhea Chakraborty, Gautam Gulati and Elvish Yadav. Their teams competed for advantages, safety and ultimately a place in the finale.

MTV Roadies Format and Journey

MTV Roadies begins with auditions designed to test personality, confidence, decision-making and physical ability. Selected contestants then move into the main journey, where they face strength, endurance, strategy and teamwork tasks. Depending on the season, contestants may compete individually, in gangs or in pairs.

Vote-outs, eliminations, immunity, wild-card entries and special advantages have been important parts of the programme. The format has also changed repeatedly, allowing the show to travel through different Indian and international locations while keeping the central focus on surviving challenges and reaching the finale.

Final Words

MTV Roadies has remained a major youth reality franchise since its launch in 2003. The first season used a different format and did not declare a single official winner, while Ayushmann Khurrana became the winner of the second season. Later champions included Parul Shahi, Ashutosh Kaushik, Prince Narula, Shweta Mehta, Hamid Barkzi, Vashu Jain and many others.

Kushal “Gullu” Tanwar is the latest completed-season winner after lifting the Roadies XX: Double Cross title in June 2025. The next chapter is Roadies REBIRTH, the announced 21st season, with Rannvijay Singha returning as host and a new winner to be decided after the upcoming competition.
