Superstar Singer Winners List of All Seasons: Winner, Runner-Up, Host and Year

Superstar Singer is a popular Hindi-language singing reality television show created to discover talented young singers from different parts of India. The programme gives children an opportunity to perform on a national stage while receiving guidance from established singers and former reality-show performers who serve as judges and captains.

Superstar Singer premiered on 29 June 2019 on Sony Entertainment Television. Unlike Indian Idol, which mainly features older contestants, Superstar Singer focuses on young singing talent. The show combines performances, mentoring and audience participation while giving contestants exposure to different styles of Indian music. As of 2026, three seasons of Superstar Singer have been completed.

Superstar Singer Winners List of All Seasons

Superstar Singer Season 1 Winner – Prity Bhattacharjee

The first season of Superstar Singer premiered on 29 June 2019 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Popular television presenter Jay Bhanushali hosted the inaugural season. The judging panel consisted of Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik and Javed Ali.

The programme also introduced a captain-based mentoring system. Salman Ali, Nitin Kumar, Jyotica Tangri and Sachin Kumar Valmiki served as captains and guided different groups of young singers.

A total of 16 contestants entered the main competition.

Prity Bhattacharjee emerged as the first winner of Superstar Singer.

Chaitanya Devadhe finished in second place, while Sneha Shankar, Nishtha Sharma, Harshit Nath and Ankona Mukherjee were also among the final six contestants.

The Super Finale was held on 6 October 2019.

Prity received the Superstar Singer trophy and ₹15 lakh cash prize. Each of the six finalists also received an educational scholarship.

Her victory made her the first contestant to lift the Superstar Singer trophy and established the new children’s singing competition on Sony Entertainment Television.

Superstar Singer Season 2 Winner – Mohammad Faiz

After a gap of more than two years, Superstar Singer returned with its second season on 23 April 2022.

Singer and television presenter Aditya Narayan hosted Season 2.

The original judging combination of Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik and Javed Ali returned for the second edition.

The mentoring team was expanded, with several well-known former singing reality-show contestants serving as captains. The captains included:

• Pawandeep Rajan
• Arunita Kanjilal
• Sayli Kamble
• Salman Ali
• Mohammad Danish

The season featured 15 contestants in the main competition.

Mohammad Faiz, who was mentored by Arunita Kanjilal, emerged as the winner of Superstar Singer Season 2.

Mani Dharamkot finished as the first runner-up, while Sayisha Gupta secured the second runner-up position. Rituraj was placed behind the top three.

The Super Finale was held on 3 September 2022.

Mohammad Faiz received the Superstar Singer trophy along with ₹15 lakh prize money.

The six finalists also received educational scholarships during the finale.

Faiz impressed the judges and audience throughout the season with his voice and ability to perform romantic and melodic songs. His consistent performances eventually helped him secure the Season 2 championship.

Superstar Singer Season 3 Winners – Avirbhav S and Atharva Bakshi

Superstar Singer Season 3 premiered on 9 March 2024 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Season 3 introduced a major change in the judging format. Instead of the three-judge panel used during the first two seasons, popular singer Neha Kakkar became the programme’s Super Judge.

The season continued with the captain-based mentoring system.

The five captains were:

• Pawandeep Rajan
• Arunita Kanjilal
• Salman Ali
• Mohammad Danish
• Sayali Kamble

Haarsh Limbachiyaa served as the main host, while Rohanpreet Singh also appeared in hosting duties during selected episodes, including parts of the finale.

Season 3 featured 15 contestants during its main competition.

The grand finale, titled “Future Ka Finale,” aired on 4 August 2024.

The final result was different from the previous two seasons because two contestants were declared winners.

Avirbhav S and Atharva Bakshi jointly won Superstar Singer Season 3.

Avirbhav’s victory was based on the public voting result, while Atharva was recognised through the judges’ choice. Both received the Superstar Singer trophy and ₹10 lakh each.

Seven other contestants also reached the final stage, including Shubh Sutradhar, Pihu Sharma, Kshitij Saxena, Master Aryan, Khushi Nagar, Devanasriya K and Laisel Rai.

Because Avirbhav and Atharva were both officially crowned winners, Season 3 did not have a conventional single second-place runner-up. The remaining finalists were recognised together rather than one contestant being officially placed immediately behind the two champions.

Superstar Singer Hosts Over the Years

Superstar Singer has had a different main host in each of its first three seasons.

Jay Bhanushali hosted the inaugural season in 2019 and helped introduce the new singing reality-show format to viewers.

Aditya Narayan took over hosting duties for Season 2 in 2022. Having already hosted several major singing reality programmes, he brought considerable experience to the role.

Haarsh Limbachiyaa became the main host of Season 3 in 2024.

Singer Rohanpreet Singh also appeared as a co-host during selected Season 3 episodes.

The first two seasons of Superstar Singer used the same three-member judging panel.

Himesh Reshammiya

Singer and music composer Himesh Reshammiya judged Seasons 1 and 2. He also contributed to the musical identity of the programme.

Alka Yagnik

Veteran playback singer Alka Yagnik was part of the judging panel during the first two seasons and provided guidance based on her extensive experience in Hindi film music.

Javed Ali

Playback singer Javed Ali also judged Seasons 1 and 2 alongside Himesh Reshammiya and Alka Yagnik.

Neha Kakkar

Season 3 introduced a different structure with Neha Kakkar serving as the Super Judge.

Instead of maintaining the earlier three-judge arrangement, Neha worked alongside the team of captains who mentored the contestants throughout the competition.

Superstar Singer Captains and Mentoring System

One of the features that distinguishes Superstar Singer from several other singing reality programmes is its captain system.

The young contestants are divided into teams and assigned to experienced singers who act as captains.

The captains help contestants prepare songs, improve their stage performances and develop confidence.

Season 1 captains included Salman Ali, Nitin Kumar, Jyotica Tangri and Sachin Kumar Valmiki.

Season 2 introduced Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble and Mohammad Danish alongside Salman Ali.

The same core mentoring team of Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Salman Ali, Mohammad Danish and Sayali Kamble continued during Season 3.

Several of these captains had previously competed successfully in other television singing competitions, particularly Indian Idol.

Superstar Singer Format

Superstar Singer is designed primarily for young singers.

Contestants are selected through auditions before progressing to the televised stage of the competition.

After selection, the singers are divided into teams under different captains. The captains mentor their contestants and help them prepare for performances.

Young singers perform songs from different periods and genres of Indian music, including Bollywood music, classical-influenced songs, romantic melodies, folk music and compositions associated with well-known playback singers and music directors.

Judges evaluate contestants on qualities such as:

• Voice quality
• Sur and pitch
• Expression
• Song selection
• Vocal control
• Versatility
• Stage confidence
• Overall performance

The programme frequently features special episodes dedicated to particular singers, composers, actors or periods of Hindi film music.

Established musicians, actors and other celebrities also appear as guests and interact with the contestants.

The strongest performers eventually reach the Super Finale, where the winner is selected according to the system used for that particular season.

Superstar Singer Season 1 and Season 2 Winner Prizes

Both the first and second seasons awarded their champions a major cash prize.

Prity Bhattacharjee received ₹15 lakh after winning Season 1.

Mohammad Faiz also received ₹15 lakh after winning Season 2.

Educational scholarships were additionally awarded to finalists, reflecting the young age of the contestants.

Superstar Singer Season 3 Prize

Season 3 had two champions rather than one.

Avirbhav S and Atharva Bakshi received ₹10 lakh each along with their winner trophies.

The other seven finalists were also awarded cash prizes, while Super Judge Neha Kakkar presented additional monetary gifts to the finalists.

Superstar Singer and Indian Idol

Superstar Singer and Indian Idol are both Hindi singing reality shows aired on Sony Entertainment Television, but they are separate competitions.

Superstar Singer primarily focuses on children and young singers, while Indian Idol generally features older aspiring singers.

Several Indian Idol contestants and winners have later appeared on Superstar Singer as captains.

Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Salman Ali, Mohammad Danish and Sayali Kamble are examples of singers who became mentors to younger contestants after gaining popularity through Indian Idol.

Therefore, winners of Indian Idol should not be included in the Superstar Singer winners list unless they separately win the Superstar Singer competition.

Superstar Singer Season 4 Status

As of August 2026, only three seasons of Superstar Singer have been officially completed.

Season 3 remains the latest completed edition, with Avirbhav S and Atharva Bakshi jointly winning the title in August 2024.

There has not yet been a completed Superstar Singer Season 4 with an officially declared winner. Therefore, no Season 4 winner should currently be added to the winners list.

Final Words

Superstar Singer has developed into an important platform for young singing talent since its debut on Sony Entertainment Television in 2019.
